The equation of right to healthcare in prison to right to healtcare for every citizen is very flawed, (as is most of your reasoning). Prisoners are forced to sit in a cell. They can't just go out and find a job and support themselves, they are supported by the state. The state must feed them, provide shelter, toilets, baths and beds and yes healthcare. Do you want the government to feed you and give you a house too?
-------------------
I do see your point. The logic is faulty, I agree. But in a system where politicians and the laws they support are bought and paid for by deep pocket Health Care and Pharmaceutical industries, there is no longer a place for logic- it doesn't exist. As for a house? Well... It was recently explained to me that the bank bailout would easily pay off every mortgage on every house in America. Not only that, but there'd be enough left over to buy a house for anyone who didn't already own one.
